For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should
dwell and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself . . .
God revealed Himself in Jesus Christ. This was an affront to the thinking of the Gnostics then, just as it is to those with different religious world views today. Yet Christ takes the fragmented antithesis of world religions and pulls them into a synthesis in which He declares the only true thesis: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by Me.” Christ is not one way; He is the only way. This is the faith response to the fallacious claims made by world religions.
