Unfortunately, the average mentality and interpretation of Christians is that the cross is cheap. Christians challenge the very validity of the cross through their actions and thoughts regarding it. But the fact is simple: cheap crosses produce cheap Christianity. Cheap grace is baptism without repentance, communion without fellowship, and salvation without regeneration. The believer must know that they are the beneficiaries of a blessing—a blessing paid for by blood. You are part of a costly salvation; in fact, it cost God everything.
