An Energizing Vision

The Hawks were down 16-0 at half time to a team they had beaten earlier in the year. As the football team headed for the locker room, several players looked hopeless. They didn't believe they could win. But when the second half started I noticed a changed attitude. The Hawks went on to win 20-16.
What made the difference? Vision. The coach and key players communicated a compelling vision during half time. They reminded the team that they had scored more than 16 points in a half many times before, and previously defeated this team.
Proverbs 29:18 teaches, "Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained." In our work, or in a football game, we sometimes need a new vision of what might be.
