Move Towards the New Thing – Beloved Women – July 31, 2023

Now the LORD said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you.” - Genesis 12:1 ESV
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
Have you ever felt God asking you to do something that would cause you to abandon all familiarity? In Genesis 12, we find Abram at a pivotal moment in his life, as God was pushing Him completely out of his comfort zone. Many times, when we feel like it’s time for a complete transition, we wonder, “Is this really you, God?” We can convince ourselves that God couldn’t possibly want us to “start over.”
However, if you read on, you will see that Abram immediately follows the command.
He listens. He believes. He moves.
Not understanding the full plan, Abram decides in His heart to completely follow God's plan for His life.
Friends, God is looking to bless those who listen and do.
No excuses. Just a heart that says, “God, your will be done.”
God wants to bless you extravagantly, but He is asking you to be a willing vessel.
PRAY
Dear Father, help me to walk in new territories bravely. Teach me to focus on what’s ahead, not what’s behind. I place my complete trust in you. For I know your plans are good for me, even when they make me feel uncomfortable. For I know there is greater blessing for me, when I follow your commands wholeheartedly. In Jesus Name, I pray, Amen.
