How To Pray-Part 10
June 12, 2015
Romans 8:26-27– “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
We pray to God the Father, we pray through the name and the merits of Jesus Christ, and we pray by God the Holy Spirit. When I say merits of Jesus Christ, I am talking about His sacrificial death on the cross. That is why I talk so much about Christ being in you. My friend, if the Holy Spirit is not in you, you cannot pray to God the Father. There is only one prayer you can pray and that is the prayer for salvation, the prayer to believe and to receive Him. That is the only prayer you have to pray.
The greatest privilege that God has given His children is the freedom to approach Him at any time. We have instant and direct access to God.However, living in these bodies of flesh there are times when we cannot communicate with God, as we should. So God sent us the Holy Spirit who dwells within every born again believer and one of His functions is to help us in our prayer life.
