Proverbs 18:19: “An offended brother is more unyielding than a fortified city. And disputes are like the barred gates of a citadel.” There are individuals who live for a good fight. They pride themselves on how they shoot from the hip and don't worry about the hurt they bring to others. Proverbs states that this angry hot head is a fool. They have no idea how hard it is to restore relationships after they use their weapons of relationship destruction. A wise person doesn’t live to argue and fight. They know the power of honest, true, gentle, and peaceable words. During our present presidential campaign, we need to read what Proverbs has to say about those who use words as weapons of war.
