Every dad has the important responsibility to join with the Father in Proverbs and teach his children wise words when in the sexual area. That’s why it's why so many godly dads struggle to talk about it. The Evil One wants our kids to learn about sex in a locker room, from a forbidden magazine, or from a peer who probably doesn't get all the facts right. It might be hard for Christian fathers to talk about it, but the father in Proverb challenges us not to be silent, and he models for us how to talk about this powerful life and death force that puberty brings. As fathers, we still have the dominant influence on the value system of our children. Not that they will buy it, not that they will listen, but from a human perspective God has chosen us as fathers to be the dominant source of their values, either good or evil, in our children’s lives.
