We must never forget that Jesus gave us a mission in the world. We are not to withdraw from it but to connect with those who desperately need the good news we possess. We must connect with friends at our office, teachers at school, and with the other ball players on the field. The Apostle Paul made it clear that his statements about separation from sin did not mean separation from sinners. We have not been called to create our own culture that isolates us from unbelievers. The Apostle Paul tells the Corinthians, “I didn’t write you to stay away from the immoral people of the world, I didn’t tell you not to have coffee with one of the people everybody knows is a crook. No! Those are the people I want you to associate with. They are the people who need to see the light.”
