As the Holy Spirit begins to speak to our hearts, we need to be at the foot of the cross, identifying what is really going on in our hearts. We need to melt. It is the only way we can find life. We need to face the horror of what we really are, the mocking, the cussing, the rebellion, the bitterness. It’s us! And Jesus presents Himself in history as the suffering Savior to get you to break, to get you to face the truth, to get you to stop covering up. That heart, that pride, that arrogance needs to melt. Forgiveness comes at the foot of the cross.
