Corinth was the Las Vegas of Asia Minor, and if there was ever a city during that time that could be given the title “Sin City,” it was Corinth. If there was ever a place in the Ancient World where you wouldn’t expect to find any Christians, it was Corinth. But strangely enough, that is exactly what Paul finds there. What he learns (and what we will learn) through the events of Acts 18:1-11 is that God’s light is shining all throughout the world . . . even in the darkest places.
