Bound by an Angel – part 1
Saturday, January 08, 2011

References: Revelation 19

If I were to ask you to name the greatest adversary the world has ever known, what name would you give? That’s an easy one! Though he’s called by many names (such as the devil, Lucifer, the Red Dragon, and the accuser of the brethren), only one name properly sums up his entire existence: Satan. But deadly and fierce as he may be, the Apostle John tells us in Revelation 19 that when God is ready to judge Satan, He won’t need an army to help Him. He’ll just send one unnamed, unknown angel to do the dirty work. When that day comes, every human alive will learn in a dramatic way what angels already know: Satan’s all talk!

Speech Therapy for Saints
Did you know the average person speaks between 2,000 and 10,000 words a day?! That means we have thousands of opportunities daily to encourage others or tear them down, to honor God or dishonor Him, and Jesus says in Matthew 12:34 that each word spoken reveals a little more about who we are on the inside. So in this series, Stephen takes us back into the convicting book of James to give us a long, hard look at our hearts…through the window of our mouths.
