Before the Curtain Rises, pt. 2
Saturday, November 06, 2010
People love conspiracy theories, don’t they? Watch the news or go to your local bookstore and look at the titles. Theories like: Is the government hiding secret information about aliens in Area 51? Did our government know about Japanese intentions before the Pearl Harbor attack? But no matter how heinous or incredulous these theories are, they all prove at least one thing: men, in general, distrust their government. And as Pastor Stephen Davey will show us today, that will only be cured when Christ comes again.

Speech Therapy for Saints
Did you know the average person speaks between 2,000 and 10,000 words a day?! That means we have thousands of opportunities daily to encourage others or tear them down, to honor God or dishonor Him, and Jesus says in Matthew 12:34 that each word spoken reveals a little more about who we are on the inside. So in this series, Stephen takes us back into the convicting book of James to give us a long, hard look at our hearts…through the window of our mouths.
