In the 18th and 19th centuries, the Scottish Church had a great vision for missions. One of those missionaries that went out from Scotland was David Livingstone who gave his life to reach Africa with the gospel. He wrote home to his wife, "I will go, no matter who opposes: I know you wish as ardently as I can that all the world may be filled with the glory of the Lord." May the Lord grant us the same vision these early Scottish missionaries and Christians had. May we also seek the glory of Zion and may we not rest until she becomes the praise of the whole earth.
