The Universal Call for Repentance (Acts 17:29-31) Description: Paul at Athens issued a universal call for repentance. Wherever the gospel goes this universal call for repentance goes. John Calvin wrote, “…As often as the voice of the Gospel sounds in our ears, let us realize that God is urging us to repent.” Today, so often the gospel goes out without a call to repentance. This is a major reason that there is so little conviction of sin and such a shallow Christianity in our modern society. Let us pray that God will once again send forth a call to repentance throughout our land. Next Week’s Message: The Judgement Day
