Herod had put the Apostle James to death and had Peter thrown in prison. He was persecuting the church in order to please the Jews. The gospel was being strongly opposed. Times looked gloomy but God had a better plan. The gospel instead of being stamped out increased and spread. Today we are living in times of spiritual and moral decay. Yet, God has a better plan and this time will not last. We must believe that. Let us pray for revival.
