The Victorious Kingdom of God (Matthew 16:18)
Saturday, August 25, 2007

References: Matthew 16

Daniel told the king of Babylon the meaning of his dream about a large statue. He saw a large statue made of gold, silver, bronze, and iron. In his dream he saw a rock come and strike the statue. The statue was destroyed and the rock became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth. Daniel told him that the statue represented earthly kingdoms. His interpretation of the rock went like this, “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.” The Kingdom of God will be victorious. It cannot be defeated.
