The Sixth Commandment –- You Shall Not Kill

The sixth commandment is about the sanctity and value of human life. It speaks to many issues of our day such as euthanasia, abortion, health care, crime, etc. It speaks not only to individuals but to nations and their laws. It speaks to big corporations as well as to an unwed mother. God is the author of life and He promotes life and the preservation of life. When we devalue human life, we are out of step with God’s will and desire.
