In his book The Old Evangelicalism - Old Truths for a New Awakening, Iain Murray says, “A recovery of the fear of God, and of the greatness of his displeasure against sin, is the need of our times.” We are living in an age where conviction of sin is rare. Yet, in the great revivals of the past, conviction of sin was everywhere and people flocked to Christ to gain relief. Today, we need the Holy Spirit’s convicting power to visit us once again.
