The promise of the Old Testament prophets was that one day David’s fallen tent would be rebuilt and restored. What were they referring to? Were they referring to the restoring of the nation of Israel to its former prominence when David and Solomon were Kings or were they referring to a Greater David who would come one day and bring salvation not only for the Jews but also for the Gentiles?
