The Dynamite of God (Romans 1:16)
Saturday, September 08, 2007

References: Romans 1

Martin Luther wrote, “’The Gospel is the power of God,’ that is, the Gospel is the power of the Spirit, or the riches, weapons, adornments, and every good thing of the Spirit, from which it has all its power, and this from God.” The word for power in the Greek New Testament is dunamis which is the word from which we get our English word dynamite. The gospel has power. It has the power to change individuals. It has the power to change nations. May it be preached in its mighty power in our day.
