Daniel confessed the shame of his nation for their sins. Today, we as a nation are also shamed because of our sins. We, too, have disobeyed God's moral law. We have taken his commandments and trampled upon them. We need to cast ourselves upon the mercy of God and come back to him with repentant hearts.
