Jesus Came to Save Sinners
Saturday, January 05, 2008

References: Matthew 1

David Brown wrote concerning the name of Jesus, “…to the awakened and anxious sinner sweetest and most fragrant of all names, expressing so melodiously and briefly His whole saving office and work.” Jesus came that sinners might be saved. To those who realize that they are indeed sinners, the name of Jesus is music to their ears. To those who are not so convinced of their sinful condition, the name of Jesus is not as important. What we need today is a people who will realize their sinfulness and come to know how wonderful and precious Jesus really is.
