Matthew Henry wrote, "That he dwelt here in very lowly circumstances, as shepherds that dwell in tents. He did not dwell among us as in a palace, but as in a tent; for he had not where to lay his head." Jesus came from His throne in Heaven to live among us as in a tent. He camped among us for a while. He came to identify with us that He might bring us salvation. Let us be thankful that He came.
