In 1630, John Winthrop addressing a group of settlers beginning a voyage to America said to them, “For we must consider that we shall be as a city upon a hill. The eyes of all people are upon us. So that if we shall deal falsely with our God in this work we have undertaken, and so cause him to withdraw his present help from us, we shall be made a story and a byword throughout the world.” Are we that city upon a hill today? Have we dealt falsely with our God? Do we not need to repent as a nation and turn back to the God of our forefathers.Pastor Ferdinand Duyaguit leads a Bible Study in a home in the Philippines.
