John Calvin wrote, "If only those who fulfill the law are justified by the law, it follows that no one is justified, for no one can be found who can boast of having fulfilled the law." Man’s problem is that he lacks righteousness and falls short of God’s moral law. Only when we face up to our sinfulness can we find a righteousness that will satisfy God’s moral law.
