Christianity teaches that eternal life can be found in only one person - Jesus Christ. Without Christ, there is no eternal life but only true and certain judgment and condemnation. John Calvin wrote, "It should have been sufficient that God placed life in Christ alone, from whom it should be sought. But in case anyone should turn away to another, he excludes from the hope of life all who do not seek it in Christ. We know what it is to have Christ, for He is possessed by faith. So he deprives of life all who are outside the body of Christ."
