Beware of a False Testimony
Saturday, January 09, 2010

References: Matthew 7

False prophets as well as false professors are not so much detected by what they say but by the fruits they produce. This applies to both how they live and the doctrine they teach. A person who professes to know Christ but lives like everyone else in the world gives evidence of a false testimony. His life should be different. Also, his doctrine should be tested by the Scriptures to see if it be true. If we know the truth, we cannot easily detect a counterfeit. So, we need to watch both life and doctrine closely.
