William Jay, English Christian leader in the 19th century, wrote, “We have many and express assurances in the Scriptures, which cannot be broken, of the general, the universal spread and reign of Christianity, which are not yet accomplished.” Daniel gives such a promise in the interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. He saw a kingdom set up by God that would cover the whole earth. Should we expect the gospel to triumph in our world today?
