3205 Dee & Dean Mader – Part 1: (atheist, abuse, fear) Dee grows up afraid of her cold and cruel father. Even when she graduates and works, she must give her dad her salary. She meets and falls in love with Dean, but her father fights their plans to marry. Dean prevails and they marry; but his alcoholism sours their marriage. On a trip up the Pacific Coast Highway, they are nearly killed and atheistic Dee realizes there is a God who saved them. A neighbor leads her to Christ, and the first part ends as she struggles with her husband’s increasing absence.
