Who Do You Sing About and To?

James Cameron's new movie Avatar proclaims to millions that the worship of nature as a mother goddess and that Hindu deities personifying these forces will conquer the evils that seek to destroy life and the race wars that plague us. But what does the Creator God who actually brought life and the universe into being have to say about this hope? Before you start worshiping trees I would encourage you to spend some time in actual forests or deserts. Nature isn't as kind as Cameron might lead you to believe. Then you might listen more openly to the Apostle Paul's revelation. He adapted a 1st Century hymn to warn us against worshiping other supernatural creatures or nature. Who should we kneel before and trust?
