References: Romans 13

"Did you know that Baghdad has the largest international embassy complex in the world and that there are already ten major Islamic nations united to make their mark on the stage of power politics?" My friend was breathless with excitement. Could the coming of Christ be near?
Then in my Bible reading I turned to Romans 13 and discovered that the Apostle Paul thought the end was near in AD 57. Was he wrong to think so?
