When it says "love believes all things" in First Corinthians 13, it doesn't mean that love is gullible. It means that a loving person isn't cynical or suspicious. Love sees the other as innocent until proven guilty.

What does it mean in First Corinthians 13 when it says that love thinks no evil? It could mean that love strives to think the best about others. It could also mean that love doesn't keep a record of wrongs.

In First Corinthians 13, Paul says that love does not behave rudely. That means that love is gracious. If we don't treat others with graciousness, we can ruin our witness with unbelievers.
