Do you know the future? Where do you see yourself in five years, ten or even twenty years from now? What should the reality of our expectation of the return of the Savior and our expectation of the dawning of the new eternal day mean for you and me? To be sure, while I cannot predict the day or the hour when Jesus Christ is going to return, the rumblings behind the curtain do seem loud. I cannot point to when the curtain will open, but I can hear the props being set up. It seems like it’s almost curtain call. The question we must ask is “How should we then live?”
I urge you to read, study, and pray about prophecy during these uncertain times. At the same time take heart that you have been called for a purpose (Romans 8:28), and that your faith in Christ is worked out and rewarded in your salvation.
You may not know the future, but take courage in that you know the One who does.
