What Do You Want Me to Do, God? - Part 2

April 29, 2016
How does God want you to live your life? Although you don't have to do anything to earn His favor, God still desires you to live in a way that glorifies Him and brings honor to His name.

In this message, Stuart Briscoe takes you to Romans 12:1-2 to share what exactly God wants you to do with your time on the earth. And as you step out in obedience - by the power of the Spirit - you'll experience the richness and fullness of the life God has for you.

This is the final teaching in Stuart Briscoe's 3-message series, Who Are You, God?

Your perception of love is heavily influenced by your family and relational background. Because of this, you might tend to view God's love based on your own standard of measurement, rather than on your understanding of what Scripture says about love. Stuart Briscoe challenges you to step away from your own perceptions of love, and embrace the truth about God's love instead. When you can discover the reality of God's love for you, you can experience a love that sparks peace and joy beyond explanation! Based on 1 John 4:7-21, this is the second teaching in Stuart Briscoe's 3-message series, Who Are You, God?

When you look at the immensity of the universe - and the immensity of the God behind it - have you ever felt small and irrelevant? You're a tiny speck in a grand universe of what God has made, so why did He create you? In this message, Stuart Briscoe shows you a clear answer to this question found in Psalm 8:1-9. The God of the universe cares deeply for you, and you'll see you've been created for so much more than you might think. Based on Psalm 8:1-9, this is the first teaching in Stuart Briscoe's 3-message series, Who Are You, God?

It's so easy to dance when everything in your life is rainbows and sunshine, but how do you dance when your world is collapsing? Psalm 118 provides a step-by-step guide to finding joy in even the worst circumstances. Listen as Pete takes you through this powerful Psalm in his series Dance Lessons. Matthew 21 and Psalm 118

Jesus invited us to a dance, and we've turned it into a march of soldiers, always checking to see if we're doing it right and in step and in line with all the other soldiers. -Steve Brown, "A Scandalous Freedom" Are you exhausted from marching in your spiritual life and longing to dance? What's holding you back? Pete Briscoe tackles this question in this message from his series, Dance Lessons. If you want to dance but are afraid it will take you too far in the other direction and you might fall into sin, you'll want to listen as Pete teaches from Galatians. Galatians 2:15

When Jesus breathed, "It is finished," that was it! And yet, it's pretty common to find churches and Christians embracing additional "rules" that "good Christians" should follow. You might even be following some of them yourself. Do these "tribal rules," as Pete Briscoe calls them, bring people closer to Jesus or keep them away? Are they making you reluctant to share your faith with those who don't look or live as you do? The same thing was happening in the early church, and it sparked an argument between Paul and Peter. In this message from Dance Lessons, Pete explains the danger of these rules and why we can live in glorious freedom from them. Galatians 2:11-14 and Acts 11:19

If you have friends who are not believers, they may ask how you know the Gospel is true. Paul was asked, too. Could he have misunderstood what others told him? Did he have some details wrong? No! Paul received the truth of the Gospel straight from Jesus – not from men! In this message from Pete Briscoe's series, Dance Lessons, he uses Paul's letter to the Galatians to teach how the Christian life starts, how we are to live it, and what living in the spirit looks like. It's not a set of rules, but a wide open door to follow Jesus! Galatians 1:11-2:10

Martin Luther said, "Preach the Gospel to yourself every day." We need reminding sometimes! In this message from Pete's series, Dance Lessons, he turns to Paul's letters to summarize the Gospel message and apply it to everyday life. Who are you in Christ? How does His death and resurrection empower you to overcome sin, trials, and even death? Galatians 1:11-15
