The Kind of Worshiper God Seeks, Part 1

October 23, 2013
God is looking for worshipers, and He won't rest until He finds them. God is looking for people who understand that the Holy Spirit lives within them and gives them everything they need to worship at any given moment. He is seeking someone who cares more about authenticity, true worshipers, worshiping in spirit and in truth. They care more about what God thinks than what the people around them think. This teaching from John 4:19-26 is the last of three messages in Pete Briscoe's series, Worshipful Living

The essence of a life of worship is the reflection of God's love.  God has love at the core of His being, and it's so much an essential part of who He is that you can actually call Him love because He is just saturated with love for you and for me. This teaching from Mark 12:28 is the second of three messages in Pete Briscoe's series, Worshipful Living.

Worship teaches us that we are to be "He" centered, not by living this day for ourselves, but by living for that day when we will see Jesus face to face. Living for Him will change the way we live our lives. This teaching from Exodus 20 is the first of three messages in Pete Briscoe's series, Worshipful Living.

Does anyone ever ask, "How are you?" and you reply, "Well, under the circumstances...."  The problem is that's exactly where we are living - under the circumstances!  How do we rise above the adversity and sing a song of praise?  From the Old Testament book of 1 Samuel, Jill Briscoe shows us how Hannah, under very difficult circumstances, found the secret. 1 Samuel 1 & 2

Any consideration of the life of Jesus must take into account the fact that he experienced childhood himself and went out of his way to minister to children.  His view of children is instructive and important in answering the question, "What Would Jesus Do?" today. This teaching on Luke 18:15-17 is from Stuart Briscoe's series, What Did Jesus Do?

Jesus challenged the religious people of his day so strongly that they "began to oppose him fiercely." He contended that their religion had actually become a substitute for spiritual reality.  A charge that requires careful thought by all who take spirituality seriously. This teaching on Luke 11:14-54 is from Stuart Briscoe's series, What Did Jesus Do?

The secret of the spectacular outward life of Jesus was the intimate inward communion He enjoyed with the Father.  One evidence of this was that "He often withdrew to lonely places and prayed." (Luke 5:16) He taught His disciples to develop a similar life of intimacy.  Luke 11:1-13

Jesus insisted on looking positively and graciously on social outcasts much to the dismay of the social elite.  It was not that he had favorites.   He simply found that the underprivileged and the undesirables were often more receptive to his message than the self-sufficient.

Death and dying are inescapable aspects of the human experience.  Jesus confronted them in others and experienced them himself.  What he did is instructive to us. Luke 7:1-17

Having clearly established his identity, demonstrated his authority, and articulated the purposes of his ministry, Jesus began calling people to join him.  This he contiues to do to this day.  We need to understand what constitutes a call and what it means to be a disciple.  Luke 5:1-11

Luke, the physician, records "the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and... he healed them. Moreover, demons came out of many people."  Any study of what Jesus did must explore his healing and exorcism ministry and its relevance today.
