While church attendance in America is declining, many non-attenders claim to be Christians, apparently assuming that one need not be a church-attendee to be a Christian. But if we look in the book of Acts at the church of Antioch, we see that the words "Christian" and "church" had different meanings than they do in today's society. In this message, Stuart walks us through the biblical definitions of these words and explains how the church is a vital way for Christians to grow. With teaching from Acts 11:19, this is the 2nd message in Stuart Briscoe's 5-message series The Search for Answers.

When you hear the phrase "born again" what do you think of? For many people today, being "born again" simply means a change or a new outlook on life. But is that what Jesus meant when he said that we must be born again? In this message, Stuart takes us through Jesus' conversation with the Pharisee Nicodemus and helps us understand in context what Jesus was really saying. With teaching from John 3:1, this is the 1st message in Stuart Briscoe's 5-message series The Search for Answers.

Called to unlock the door to the secrets of God's saving grace, Paul followed the footsteps of Jesus. They were principles that fueled his amazing life and made him a "world shaker." We can own those principles, too, and shake up our world for Christ. This message includes Jill's poem, "God Dropped By." Acts 21-23

Paul had a heart as big as the world, a vision as high as the sky, and a life that marches down the stairway of time into our little lives - enlarging them forever. He was a mover and a shaker - a "world shaker." From this point on in the narrative, Paul would be in prison and bondage until the end of his course on earth. Acts 21-22

Where do you invest your money? The Bible tells us that where our treasure is, there our hearts are also. Pete explains the parable of the dishonest manager in Luke 16, where we are taught to be wise with our money. In the end, we can't take it with us, but we can send it ahead by storing up treasures in heaven, through investments of eternal significance. This the 3rd message in Pete's 3-message series "Making Your Life Count."

Life is a race. And at the finish line, we'll stand before Jesus and be evaluated on how we did. Pete shares with us three things that every athlete knows, and every Christian needs to know. He leads us to several verses that will help us pattern our lives toward experiencing a positive judgment. This the 2nd message in Pete's 3-message series "Making Your Life Count." I Corinthians 9:24-27

Would you like to have the answers to the most important final exam? Does that almost seem too good to be true? Well, not if you're a Christian. Pete gives us the criteria that we will be evaluated on at Jesus' second coming, as found in Romans 12. This the first message in Pete's 3-message series "Making Your Life Count."

What should be the primary focus or "the main thing" for us as believers, and for the church as a whole? Is it finding the lost? Reaching seekers? Discipling believers? Caring for the poor? Creating community? Sending missionaries? Offering Bible studies? These are all good things, but the main thing is not a thing at all. The main thing is a person, and that person is Jesus Christ! In this message, Pete Briscoe takes us to Revelation 1:9-20, where we see a powerful, symbolic image of Jesus standing among the churches. John's apocalyptic writings enhance our understanding of Jesus' divine sovereignty, authority, character, purpose, and love for us. In John 10:10, Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." He forgives our sins and indwells us so that we can experience real life in Christ.
