Fruitful Conversation

July 29, 2013
What does it mean to bear fruit? Is it true that I can lose my salvation if I bear no fruit? Jesus takes time to have fruitful conversation with His disciples on these matters before His death. Pete describes these teachings in John 15 where Jesus proclaims, "I Am the Vine; you are the branches."
This is the 16th message in Pete's 21-message series Up Close and Personal.

In fact, He makes it perfectly clear in His word. What can we learn from the stories of the Bible... from how Jesus handled certain situations? A great deal! Through this teaching, you'll learn how you can know God's will for your life and then begin to apply it in practical ways. Are you ready to surrender your plans if it means you will accomplish His?

Sometimes we feel stuck – stuck in the same pattern of one step forward and two steps back. We see growth in the lives of other Christians and we wonder what we're missing. Pete Briscoe shares the freeing truth that spiritual change doesn't happen from trying harder. We forget that so often. No wonder we're frustrated! In this message we are reminded that lasting change only occurs through God's grace and power. We will learn that our responsibility in growth is to Ask and Bask. Colossians 1:9-14
