In John 10:14, Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd; I know My sheep and My sheep know Me. Are you able to say that you know Jesus Christ personally? Victory over this world is not faith in ‘self ‘, but it’s the faith in Jesus Christ. When Jesus walked this earth, He told us to be of good cheer, because He has overcome the world. A definite sign we’re maturing in Christ, is our love to obey his Word. But today on Sound Doctrine, we’ll see that sin separates us from God. And because of this, Pastor Jeff says we must continually bathe ourselves in 1 John 1:9, because when we confess our sins, we are cleansed. According to 1 John, a mature Christian will have bold confidence in Christ, Love for the unlovely, and finally obedience. Jesus said, “If you love me, obey my commandments”. But today, pastor Jeff says that God doesn’t force us to obey his commandments, but our action in obeying him, will prove our maturity and love. Stay tuned for more on Sound Doctrine.

What is Christian maturity? Today on Sound Doctrine, Pastor Jeff says it’s the Love of God. If God Loves us, we should in turn love people, and this includes those who we consider to be unlovely. Jesus said “they will know that you are my disciples, by your love for one another”.

Paul told Timothy, “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” God’s love was perfected on the cross, and now there is no need to have any fear. Sadly, some still have an unhealthy fear of God’s Love, but today we’ll see that “perfect love casts out fear”.

The bible tells us to Love one another. But we can’t love people, without the Love of God in us. On todays program, Pastor Jeff encourages his listeners to continue growing in God’s Love, and in our love for one another.

Evidence that God dwells within a person is Love… for God is Love. He wants to live in us, so that He can pour out through us to a hurting and lost world. Today on Sound Doctrine, Pastor Jeff reminds us that God wants to use us to make known the riches of His glory, “which is Christ in us, the hope of glory.”
