The Four Horsemen of The Apocalypse, Part 6

Today we conclude our series on the four horsemen of the apocalypse, and encounter the last horse. This horse represents death and hell, and will bring horrific destruction upon the earth. We are reminded of the the sobering reality of these scriptures, but continue to learn of the hope that is found in Christ.

We've been discussing the description of each horse, and the destruction the anti-christ will bring with each one. Stay tuned as we continue our study with the third and fourth horse found in Revelation chapter six.

When the anti-christ comes on the world's scene; he will deceive and conquer many. Revelation chapter 6 provides a description of this false messiah, and today we will continue to study the tactics in his agenda.

2,000 years ago, Jesus humbly entered the streets of Jerusalem riding on a donkey. The people acknowledged Him as king, but sadly only a week later He would be crucified. Today, we will contine our lesson on the anti-christ, and consider the horse he will ride on to deceive the people.

In John 5:43 Jesus said "I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive." This scripture talks about the anti-christ who will soon come on the scene. Although the Jews have rejected Jesus Christ, they will embrace this man who will come with great deception, and a false agenda of peace and prosperity.

Chapter six of Revelation begins a period of time called "The Great Tribulation." This is when all hell will break loose on planet earth. But it is comforting to know, that the church is not mentioned once during this period of time. Pastor Jeff points out today, that the church will be safe in Heaven during this horrific time on earth.

2 Peter 3:9 says "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance." Verse 10 goes on to say "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night." Today Pastor Jeff urges those who have not received Christ, to get right with the Lord before it is too late.

The blood of Jesus is pure, and eternal. If by faith we receive Him, we are covered with His blood, and become apart of a special group: "The Redeemed of The Lord". We've been discussing this redemption on Sound Doctrine, and today we continue our study in Chapter 5 of Revelation.

The return of Jesus has never been this close, but He is only coming for His purchased possession. Today we begin the 2nd part of a study called "The Redeemed Of The Lord" and Pastor Jeff reminds us that the bride of Christ (which is the church) will be in Heaven right before the Great Tribulation.

Only Jesus is worthy; the Bible says His name is the only name given to mankind by which we must be saved. Today we will conclude the message "The Redeemed Of The Lord", and Pastor Jeff reminds us we are living in the last days, and Jesus is coming back for those who believe.
