The prophet Micah pronounced a unique prophecy concerning a little town in the east called Bethlehem.  He said "But you, Bethlehem Ephratah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you will come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting."  This prophecy was fulfilled more than 2,000 years ago when Jesus Christ was birthed into the world.  We'll learn some incredible details of this event in a message called "The Christmas Story."

People flocked from all over to hear Jesus.  But they also came with many questions, one of which we can read in John 6:28 that says, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?"  Jesus answered by saying "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent."  This answer still rings true today.  On this edition of Sound Doctrine, Pastor Jeff explains what it means to believe, and gives listeners an opportunity to respond.

The majority of the time spent in the wilderness for the Israelites was in disobedience.  Numbers 21 gives the story of venomous snakes biting the Israelites, and the only way for deliverance was to simply look at a replica snake on a pole.  The same is true for us.  Christ became a curse for us, and all we need to do is look to the cross at Calvary for deliverance.  Pastor Jeff will talk more about this in a message called "Call On The Lord And Live."
