Spots In Our Love Feast, Part 3

God is Righteous and Just, and evil will be dealt with. Today as we conclude chapter 2 of 1st Kings, we see that Solomon takes action on his father's instruction, resulting in a righteous kingdom. Pastor Jeff will conclude his message "Spots In Our Love Feast" today on Sound Doctrine.

His father has given critical instructions, but as the new king of Israel, it's up to him to execute judgement. Even in our present day, David is praised as one of the greatest kings to have ever lived. And in the latter years of his life, he provided wisdom to his son Solomon...the new king of Israel. Solomon would go on to be a greater king than his father, but not before taking action on Davids advice.

The goodness of God will always triumph over evil. And as corruption unfolds in 1st Kings chapter 1, Justice will soon take place. David's son Adonijah has gathered a corrupt leadership, and is in the process of making himself King. But the kingdom was promised to Solomon. Today, Pastor Jeff encourages us to be on God's side, and not to look to a man for direction.

The first book of Kings is filled with "The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly". And we see this unfolding in chapter one. As king David laid in his death bed, his son Adonijah exalted himself, and sought to make himself king. Today, Pastor Jeff reminds us "he that exalts himself will be abased, but he that humbles himself will be exalted. And sadly, this truth will eventually make its way to Adonijah.

1 Corinthians 10:11 makes clear, that Old Testament events, took place as an example for us. Today we begin a study in 1 Kings, and realize there are many lessons in this book, and today Pastor Jeff exhorts us to learn from these lessons. We begin in chapter 1 of 1st Kings, with a message entitled "The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly" on Sound Doctrine.

The Bible says, "God inhabits the praises of His people", and in our current styd through Jude, we find that Jude praises God for his great ability. Today, we conclude our study through Jude, and Pastor Jeff exhorts us to give glory and honor to God...because of who He is, and what He has done.

There's nothing we can do that will take us out of God's Love. And although we have many shortcomings, God is able to present us faultless, because of the perfection of Jesus. Today, Pastor Jeff says, "God will guard those who belong to Him." Are you a child of God? It's as simple as putting your full trust in Jesus Christ.

The Bible says, "God is able to do exceedingly abundantly aboe all that we ask or think". As we near the end of our study through Jude, he seeks to place our eyes directly on Jesus, and reminds us that our God is Able. Pastor Jeff begins his message today in Jude 24, next on Sound Doctrine.

Galatians 5:22 describe the fruits of the Holy Spirit in ones life. When we apply these to our lives, we mature, and God is able to freely use us as He see's fit. On todays program, Pastor Jeff says "we need the Spirit to rule and reign in our hearts" so that we can encourage and build up one another with the Love of God.

God's Love is the greatest gift a Christian can express. Without Love, our witness is tainted. Today, Pastor Jeff resumes his message in Jude, and says "Being filled with God's Love, will give us insight on dealing with difficult situations.
