Thanks for tuning into Sound Doctrine with Pastor Jeff Johnson of Calvary Chapel Downey.  We are learning a very important principle about sins interaction with men and women. It always hurts us, though not at first, but sins reward is death.  In Joshua chapter 7 we learned about Achan sinning. It caused a defeat for the nation of Israel. But Joshua deals with it so the people can have victory. These principles are applicable for us today.  Pastor Jeff continues with “Sin Dealt with = Victory.”

Welcome to Sound Doctrine Radio with Jeff Johnson Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Downey.  Sin is sin, no matter how much you dress it up by calling it by another name.  Achan tried to cover up his disobedience by placing it under his tent, and then just calling it spoils. But God called it, disobedience! As a church, we should take caution from Achans actions.  Any disobedience or straying away from Gods Word will cause defeat in our lives.  Join Pastor Jeff for more on this with the conclusion to his message, “Avoiding Spiritual Defeat.”

Thanks for joining us on Thursdays edition of Sound Doctrine Radio with Pastor Jeff Johnson of Calvary Chapel Downey.  Times of defeat happen when orders are not followed. When the chain of command gets broken and men and women go a wall, more than then the individuals themselves are affected.  Joshua experiences this first hand as someone in their ranks disobeys. This is a valuable lesson for the church today as we listen in to Pastor Jeff as he begins Joshua chapter 7 with a study called, “Avoiding Spiritual Defeat.”

Welcome to of SDR with Jeff Johnson.  Salvation from a eternity of outer darkness and total separation from God is a choice that we make for our selves, not God. He offers heaven to us at no charge.  But people, as we see in scripture are stubborn and wont lay down arms. Only Rahab and her family escape because they willingly sought salvation in the God of Israel. Today, Pastor Jeff concludes his series on, “Giving and Salvation,” from the book of Joshua chapter 6.

Thanks for joining us on Tuesdays edition of Sound Doctrine Radio with Pastor Jeff Johnson.  We are learning a very important lesson about tithing and salvation.  God requested simply a tenth back of what He has blessed people with.  Now there are many who hold fast to their pocket books,. because they think they have worked hard and earned it. But the reality is, God is the one who provided them with that job in the first place.  We are continuing in our study from yesterday with “Giving and Salvation” from Joshua chapter 6.

Welcome to Sound Doctrine Radio with Pastor Jeff Johnson of Calvary Chapel Downey in SOCAL.  The bible has a lot to say about different topics. One in particular seems to be a sensitive subject, that is, money.  There are many who do not understand that God wants bless our finances, not steal them!  He is our provider and wants to make sure that we are being good stewards with what He has blessed us with. Today, Pastor Jeff begins a new series called, “Giving and Salvation,” from Joshua chapter 6.

Welcome to Fridays edition of Sound Doctrine Radio.  Corrie Ten Boom said, “Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, and receives the impossible.” Israel is learning this in Joshua chapter 6. And it is a great lesson for the church today.  We live in a world of medicine, science and technology. But as the church we are still required to have faith. It makes up a good percentage of our daily walk with Christ, and God is always testing it, because it is worth more than precious gold.  Pastor Jeff concludes his message, Victory Through Faith.

Thanks for joining us on Thursday’s edition of Sound Doctrine Radio with Pastor Jeff Johnson.  We are learning a very important principle when engaged in warfare, that silence is golden.  God has brought the children of Israel to the doorsteps of Jericho, and His orders for the attack seem strange. But, God knows the outcome, and knows what it takes for victory. Israel just needs to trust Him.  The same is true for you and I today. We must trust Him at His Word, then we will begin to see victory in our lives.  Stay tuned for part 2 of, “Victory Through Faith.”
