Jesus Loves Gentile Puppies, Part 3

December 6, 2016
In the Gospels we see Jesus praying constantly. At times he would go alone some place and pray all night. Other times he would pray for people publicly. On todays program we will see Jesus pray and perform a unique miracle for a man that can represent all of us. And Pastor Jeff will remind us that God still heals and restores that which was lost to sin. We invite you to follow along in Mark chapter 7, in the conclusion to the study titled, “Jesus Loves Gentile Puppies”

The book of Ephesians tells us that Gentiles were with out hope, being separated from the common wealth of Israel. The Jews prided themselves in being God’s chosen people. But on today’s lesson we will learn that even Gentiles can pray to Jesus Christ and He will hear us. Pastor Jeff exhorts us today to continue to ask, seek and knock in the continuation of our series titled, “Jesus Loves Gentile Puppies”

The Christ was sent to His people, Israel. God chose them all the way back in the Old Testament, to be a light to the world. So naturally as planned, God sent the Light of the World, Jesus to them. On today’s edition, we will learn that God doesn’t just love Israel only, but the whole world. And He has a plan to redeem the world. This is the new series titled, “Jesus Loves Gentile Puppies”

We have been studying the Gospel of Mark with Pastor Jeff, we have learned that the religious leaders of Jesus’s day, where consumed with outward cleanliness.  But Christ taught that God is concerned about internal purity. Outward appearances are irrelevant when dealing with eternity. The sad truth is, that this religious mind set is still prevalent in many of America’s churches. This is an important lesson and we invite you to follow along with us in the study titled, “Tradition VS the Word”.

On todays program, Pastor Jeff is continuing in a very important, and relevant subject: Religion or Gods Word? There are many churches through out the world that claim to be Christian. However, when you start to examine their teachings, you will find they are actually far from the Word of God! This is becoming a dangerous trend in America. We invite you to follow along in the study titled, “Tradition VS the Word,” from the Gospel of Mark Chapter 7.

The New Testament writers tell us that the Old Testament laws, and regulations where a shadow of good things to come. Unfortunately, the Jewish people became religious, and fixated on the customs, rather than what the commandments were pointing to.  Today on Sound Doctrine Pastor Jeff will teach us that religion will cause you to miss Jesus just like the Jews did. We are in the Gospel of Mark chapter seven with the study titled, “Tradition Vs. the Word”.

When Christ was on earth 2,000 years ago, He made himself available to the masses. This included, the lame, sick and broken. They traveled from miles around  just for a chance to meet with Christ. Fortunately for us today, the farthest that we travel is our own prayer closet. Pastor Jeff gives us His conclusion to the 3 part series, “Jesus Our Faithful Shepherd.”

The Word of God tells us that God’s eye is upon the sparrow. It’s a comfort to know that, God takes care of the small and what would seem to us insignificant little bird. How much more is he watching over His sheep, you and I. He is never too buys for us, and want to bless us. We are continuing on in our study of the Gospel of Mark chapter 6 in the series titled, Jesus Our Faithful Shepherd.

On today’s edition of Sound Doctrine Pastor Jeff is continuing in his special thanksgiving message from Psalm 136. We are learning that even if we don’t have much materially, or financially, there is still plenty to be thankful for because of what God has done. He sent His son to die on the cross for us, so we could have access to eternity, with Him.  This is the conclusion to the special holiday message, “Give Thanks.”

We come together once a year around a big feast and gorge ourselves with pie. But as a Christian, how often do we stop to thank God for the things He has done for us? Thankfulness is a big deal to the Lord, it’s seen through scripture. And hopefully after hearing todays message from pastor Jeff, you will be thankful to God. This is a special holiday message titled, “Give Thanks”.

Today we are continuing on in our study of the Gospel of Mark chapter 6. We will be learning about the character of Jesus in relation to His followers. This includes you and I. Our human nature can get annoyed when people interrupt our R&R. Not Jesus, He makes Himself available to us, anytime of the day. We invite you to follow along with us in the new series, “Jesus Our Faithful Shepherd”.
