Hell On Earth, Part 6

Today we conclude Chapter 6 of Revelation. Pastor Jeff has been teaching on the great tribulation, and the dreadful events that will happen during this time. We are challenged today, to get right with God before it is to late, and this is only possible through Christ. Pastor Jeff will explain more next on Sound Doctrine.

A horrific event called "The Great Tribulation" is in the near future. The earth we live in will be hit with plagues, which will bring anguish upon men and women. But while this dreadful event takes place, Christians will be safe in Heaven. Having an understanding of these things, should stir up Christians to share the truth with non-believers. The Bible says in Romans 8:22 that "All of creation is groaning and laboring with birth pangs." We've experienced this in recent history with earthquakes and floods. But these are nothing in comparison to the disasters in Revelation. Today, Pastor Jeff continues his series entitled "Hell On Earth" and reminds us of the reality of these scriptures.

The book of Revelation is a warning to anybody currently living in our present time. But at any moment, those who are without Christ will be left behind, while millions of Christians are raptured. Today, Pastor Jeff urges those who are without Christ, to reason with the truth of the scriptures, because as we are learning chapter 6 of Revelation, it will be Hell on earth.

The renown scientist Sir Isaac Newton came to the conclusion that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. This is not only a law in science, but also a spiritual truth God has set up in His word. Galatians 6:7 says, "Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life." We'll learn more about this truth today, as we continue our study in Revelation Chapter six with Pastor Jeff Johnson.

When Jesus walked the earth; He would often speak about a real literal place called Hell, and the solution to avoiding it. Knowing that sin brings eternal death; He willingly died on the cross to deliver man, providing a free gift of salvation. But many still reject this gift, bringing eternal damnation on there own souls. Today on Sound Doctrine, we will study a passage of scripture in Revelation chapter six, and learn about a future consequence that will come from rejecting Jesus Christ.

Today we conclude our series on the four horsemen of the apocalypse, and encounter the last horse. This horse represents death and hell, and will bring horrific destruction upon the earth. We are reminded of the the sobering reality of these scriptures, but continue to learn of the hope that is found in Christ.

Our current study in Revelation chapter six has opened our eyes to the four horsemen of the apocalypse. We've been discussing the description of each horse, and the destruction the anti-christ will bring with each one. Stay tuned as we continue our study with the third and fourth horse found in Revelation chapter six.

When the anti-christ comes on the world's scene; he will deceive and conquer many. Revelation chapter 6 provides a description of this false messiah, and today we will continue to study the tactics in his agenda.

2,000 years ago, Jesus humbly entered the streets of Jerusalem riding on a donkey. The people acknowledged Him as king, but sadly only a week later He would be crucified. Today, we will contine our lesson on the anti-christ, and consider the horse he will ride on to deceive the people.

In John 5:43 Jesus said "I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive." This scripture talks about the anti-christ who will soon come on the scene. Although the Jews have rejected Jesus Christ, they will embrace this man who will come with great deception, and a false agenda of peace and prosperity.
