Paul had the right attitude about witnessing to others. Pastor Jeff reminds us that we are here to share the gospel so that others can be saved. When you’re discouraged, remember Paul’s example. He constantly asked for prayer. Don’t be afraid to do the same thing. Through prayer, the Lord lifts us up and enables us to do His work.

One of Paul’s strongest attributes was his commitment. Pastor Jeff encourages us to be committed to loving the Lord and doing His will. Yes, we will endure trials — Paul certainly did! But we can take comfort in the Lord’s promises.

One thing we learn from Ephesians is that Paul had faithful men whom he trusted to help spread the gospel and support him in his ministry. These men often went off to pastor their own churches! Let Paul be our example — he surrounded himself with faithful men of God. Likewise, we should surround ourselves with godly companions!

Have you ever thought about how faithfully Paul served the Lord, even from prison? In today’s study, Pastor Jeff explains how strong Paul’s ministry was, even when he was in chains. Do you have the attitude of the prophet Isaiah? He simply said to the Lord, “Here am I. Send me.” Don’t be afraid of where the Lord might lead you. He can open doors for you to share the gospel in places you never imagined possible.

We can all learn from the example of Paul. No matter what circumstances he was in, Paul praised the Lord. Pastor Jeff encourages us to remember that the Lord is teaching us lessons through good and bad situations alike. Remember Paul’s words in Philippians 1:12: “what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel.”

There are several types of prayer in Ephesians, but intercessory is one of the most important! As we begin part two of our study on praying for others, Pastor Jeff shows us many passages asking believers to pray specifically on someone else’s behalf. We are to follow this example, and offer prayers of intercession for others!

Today, Pastor Jeff talks about effective prayer. When we pray in a way that is aligned with God’s will, He is willing to answer us immediately. Prayer will transform your life. Don’t get caught up in asking God for your selfish wants. Ask Him what He wants for your life!

The church is the bride of Christ! We are not individuals; we are one body. We need each other. As we work together, pooling our prayers and spiritual gifts, God works in mighty ways through the church. Pray for the Lord to stir up the body of Christ to become prayer warriors for Him.
