God's Will For You, Part 1

Today on Sound Doctrine, Pastor Jeff begins a new chapter in the book of Romans. We are in chapter 12, and learning about a very important, and often-misunderstood topic; Gods will. For many this an elusive concept. But Pastor Jeff will teach us, Gods will is not some obscurity in our walks, but He has made it known to us. Have you thought about your future? I don’t mean financial future, but spiritual eternity. There is a storm coming called, the tribulation. This is something the world has never seen before. The Old Testament is filled with prophecies concerning the Messiah. In fact it was so detailed that they knew where He was going to be born! But the Jewish people missed Him, because of their religion. Today, Pastor Jeff is in Romans chapter 11. He will teach us that God some times has to be sever, in order to wake us up! God has purged the nation of Israel because of their rejection of His Messiah. The Gospel was then sent to the Gentiles. The Church was grafted into the promises of God that were to the nation of Israel. Pastor Jeff is in Romans chapter 11, and we will learn that God some times has to be sever in His judgment, in order to show His goodness and grace. There is a great truth that we have received that comes with a promise. God has an inheritance waiting for His church. Israel was also promised many things from the Lord, but they rejected His Messiah. Now does that mean God is threw with them?
