Don't Be Afraid, Part 3

In chapters 2 & 3 of Revelation, John is told to write to the church. But in chapters 6 thru 19 (which is the Great Tribulation period) the church is not on the earth. Pastor Jeff points out today that the church is in Heaven, when God's Wrath is poured onto the earth. Join us as we continue our study of the book of Revelation, next on Sound Doctrine.

Why then do some christians still fear? The Bible says this life is a vapor (James 4:14). It is here today, and gone tomorrow. When the time comes for us to leave this world, we will immediately enter eternity. But where we spend eternity depends on our reception or rejection of Christ. Today Pastor Jeff encourages us to get our eyes on the things above, and to take our eyes off of the things of this world. When we are in the presence of God, our sins are exposed in the Light. We quickly realize the Holiness of the Lord, and just how unholy we are. But today on Sound Doctrine, Pastor Jeff will teach us that it's healthy to be in God's presence, because it is there we can confess our sins, and the Bible says He is faithful and just to forgive us (1 John 1:9).

You would think it would be chaotic and confusing...yet, from beginning to end, it fits into one consistent and harmonious account.
