Happy Thanksgiving from SDR and Pastor Jeff Johnson. You know when we really think about it, we have much to be thankful for. Thanksgiving although is an American holiday once a year, we should have an attitude of gratitude year round. We have been learning about the Menorah and Chanukah, now although Chanukah is a Jewish holiday, it should resonate to the church that Christ is our light that exposed the darkness we were once in! Join Pastor Jeff for the conclusion of “Christ and Chanukah.”

We are learning about being the light to the world. During the holidays its easy to become distracted with all the running around and preparation. And we miss out on a great opportunity to share the love of Christ around our dinning room tables. But before we can be a witness to our families, we need to be filled with the Holy Spirits to truly be a light to the world. Stay tuned for part 2 of “Christ and Chanukah.”

We are taking a short break from the book of Joshua, and today we look at thanksgiving from a different perspective, Chanukah!  Pastor Jeff is teaching about the Menorah and the oil during the time of the Maccabees. He is drawing a spiritual picture of being a witness for the Lord, by letting our light that He has given us, shine for Christ to our friends and families.  Join pastor Jeff for a thanksgiving messaged called, “Christ and Chanukah.”

We are studying the book of Joshua and today we begin chapter 22. Pastor Jeff is teaching about the dangers of gossip and miscommunication. We will learn that as a leader it’s important to hear all the facts about a situation, before taking action. With a lot of information at our fingertips, this lesson is applicable for us today. Join pastor Jeff for part 1 of “Avoiding Gossip/Being A Peacemaker.”

We are learning about the responsibility of being a Levite. These were people who were set apart for ministering to the Lord. Pastor Jeff is exhorting us that we should also be ministering to the Lord, by obeying His great commission and by being His ambassadors to the world. Don’t go away, Part 2 of “Oh! To Be A Levite.”

Today on SDR Pastor Jeff is concluding his series on the hiding place for the believer. We are all guilty of sin, and that guilt requires death. But because Jesus took on our guilt and shame, we now have a place of refuge in Him. We join Pastor Jeff as he is making an analogy about a defenseless animal evading a predator, by hiding behind the rock.
November 17, 2015
We are learning about the cities of refuge from Joshua chapter 20. God gave command that there should be designated cities for those who committed a crime by accident or premeditated. These cities are a fore shadow of Jesus Christ, and are a picture of how He is our refuge. Stay tuned for part 2 of “Our Hiding Place.”
November 16, 2015
We are studying the book of Joshua on SDR, and today Pastor Jeff is teaching on the cities of refuge designated for the guilty. Now these cities of refuge are a picture of a NT principal that can be easily overlooked. This is a very important subject to all those who have broken the Law and commandments of God.  Stay tuned for a new series titled, “Our Hiding Place.”
