We are learning about the responsibility of being a Levite. These were people who were set apart for ministering to the Lord. Pastor Jeff is exhorting us that we should also be ministering to the Lord, by obeying His great commission and by being His ambassadors to the world. Don’t go away, Part 2 of “Oh! To Be A Levite.”

Today we begin a series in Joshua chapter 21 called, "Oh! To Be A Levite."

Today on SDR Pastor Jeff is concluding his series on the hiding place for the believer. We are all guilty of sin, and that guilt requires death. But because Jesus took on our guilt and shame, we now have a place of refuge in Him. We join Pastor Jeff as he is making an analogy about a defenseless animal evading a predator, by hiding behind the rock.

We are learning about the cities of refuge from Joshua chapter 20. God gave command that there should be designated cities for those who committed a crime by accident or premeditated. These cities are a fore shadow of Jesus Christ, and are a picture of how He is our refuge. Stay tuned for part 2 of “Our Hiding Place.”

We are studying the book of Joshua on SDR, and today Pastor Jeff is teaching on the cities of refuge designated for the guilty. Now these cities of refuge are a picture of a NT principal that can be easily overlooked. This is a very important subject to all those who have broken the Law and commandments of God.  Stay tuned for a new series titled, “Our Hiding Place.”

Any real relationship takes effort on the part of both parties. The same is true with our relationship with God. He has gone over and beyond for us, the least we could do is spend time with Him daily and offer our lives to His service.  We join Pastor Jeff as he is talking about Gods concern for the children of Israel and their inheritance. Stay tuned for “Don’t Be A Slacker.”

We are learning about the mediocre attitude some of the tribes of Israel had. For some of them they were content with staying on the other side of the Jordan, never taking an interest in the promise land. These tribes became nomads in the desert, and Pastor Jeff is making a spiritual connection with Christians, living indifferent towards the promises of God. Stay tuned for part 2 of “Don’t Be A Slacker.”

The book of Joshua has been called an action book. It is filled with conquest, victory and defeat. But a key lesson in it is when the children of Israel become slackers. This can happen to Christians after serving for many years in the ministry. A mindset of slothfulness sets in and they become indifferent with the ministry and walk with the Lord. Join Pastor Jeff as he teaches a new series entitled, “Don’t Be A Slacker.”

The bible say’s, "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him."  Our heavenly Father has plans and a future, but before those things happen, God has placed us strategically right where we are at today. The place we find ourselves in life is preparation for the future. So we shouldn’t despise our lot in life! Stay tuned for the conclusion of the message titled, “Your Lot in Life.”
