If shame isn’t dealt with, it can lead to paranoia and excessive perfectionism, or it can leave a person as nothing but a doormat for others. But God has a cure for shame. Hebrews 12:2 tells us that Jesus “endured the cross, scorning its shame…” or, put another way, “try to destroy Me if you can!”
